Auto Collision 2: Paint and Refinishing Certificate

The Auto Collision 2: Paint and Refinishing Certificate is a continuation of and a progressive skills development of the fundamentals of auto collision repair, to include the tools, techniques, and basic concepts and safety standards of the industry. Students will advance their skills in structural repair, refinishing, detailing, and paint matching for entry level work. To earn a certificate students must complete all major course requirements with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of the program must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 18 units.

Program Student Learning Outcomes:
OUTCOME 1: Develop entry-level skills and knowledge for employment in the automotive industry, i.e. an auto body repair facility, and the insurance business.
OUTCOME 2: Acquire increasingly technical skills and knowledge to work safely in the lab/shop environment.
OUTCOME 3: Demonstrate the ability to become part of the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR) and the Automotive Detailers Association (ADA) .
