T-TEN Maintenance Technician Certificate

The T-TEN Maintenance Technician Certificate is designed to prepare T-TEN students for employment as automotive maintenance technicians. Training is given in theory and practical skills. Directed practical work is given in areas of automotive maintenance and repair under simulated on-the-job conditions. Particular emphasis is placed on those competencies required of Toyota/Lexus dealerships for entry level employment. The program will provide the student the opportunity to learn basic vehicle maintenance and service the following systems; battery, charging system, brake system, tires and TPMS, steering/suspension, and alignments. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a minimum grade of C or better. All course work must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 28 units.
