Radiation Safety Certificate

The Radiation Safety Certificate offers a curriculum that provides the student with the appropriate academic instruction to achieve eligibility for the National Board of Dental Hygiene Examiners written examination, and the Western Regional Examining Board Examination (WREB) for licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist, qualifying the candidate as stipulated in the California Dental Practice Act. A Certificate of Completion of Radiation Safety shall be issued after a student has achieved both procedures to clinical competency and successful passed the courses. The Dental Board of California set forth the requirements and the California Code of Regulations of 16 CCR 1014.1.In order to earn this certificate, 50% of the coursework must be completed at Cypress College. The certificate requires a total of 10 units.
