Barbering Certificate

The Barbering Certificate is designed to prepare students for a career and/or employment in the technical field of barbering with basic entry level knowledge and skills in: Professional development, salon ecology, anatomy and physiology, electricity, chemistry, barbershop business, trichology, hair and scalp treatments, facial massage and treatments, shaving and facial hair design, hair replacement, haircutting, wet and thermal hairstyling, permanent waving and chemical straightening, haircoloring and bleaching, health and safety, state board rules and regulations. This certificate requires the completion of 45 units with a minimum grade of C or better in each course taken. At least one half of the units completed must be taken at Fullerton College.
