Music Recording/Production Certificate

PROGRAM CODE: 2C08420

The Music Recording/Production Certificate is designed as a four semester program to provide the technical skills and theoretical background for a career in the music recording/music production field. The certificate requires a total of 31-32 units of required courses and restricted electives with a minimum grade of C or better in each course taken.

Program Level Student Learning Outcomes

Outcome 1: Demonstrate an understanding of signal flow in the recording process using a real analog console as well as a DAW for the purpose of developing and creating a recorded music performance.

Outcome 2: Create/compose music in a variety of musical genres by implementing music production skills for the purpose of recording individual components of composition.
