The Cypress College A.S., in addition to acting as a voice for the student body, has put forth an exciting and valuable benefits program. For a modest fee of $13 per semester, a sticker may be bought that entitles the holder to privileges and services both on campus and throughout the community. Beneficiaries enjoy discounts at local food and retail businesses as well as exclusive access to the Student Activities computer lab and game center. Additionally, portions of the proceeds obtained from the purchase of these stickers are used to enrich the college’s academic, athletic and artistic community by helping to fund extracurricular programs and events. The sticker may be purchased online via WebStar during registration or at the Admissions and Records office throughout the semester. For further information on the Associated Benefits Sticker, visit the Student Activities Center, or call (714) 484-7198.

The Campus ID card is an invaluable tool which not only identifies Cypress College students, but also grants them access to a wide array of services and programs. A smart addition to any wallet, the card is required at the library, bookstore and gym as well as the various computer/learning labs located throughout the college. In addition, a student may be required to present their ID when using support services such as Financial Aid, Admissions and Records, Bursars, and the Transfer Center. The card may be purchased online via myGateway during registration or at the Admissions and Records office throughout the semester. Please note: the $2.50 fee must be paid every semester. This fee supplies a validation sticker and entitles the student to a new ID card. If the student wishes to keep their current card, the new sticker can simply be placed over the old. For further information on the Campus ID Card, visit the Student Center on the 1st floor.

All students, residents and non-residents must pay the enrollment fee of $46 per unit ($23 per .5 unit). Bachelor's Fee of $84 per unit.  The enrollment fee may vary should the state legislature take action to change it.

Pursuant to health code and district policy, Cypress College has a mandatory health fee. The health fee is $21 per semester ($18 for the Summer Intersession) for each student regardless of the number of units taken.

Any student who depends exclusively on prayer for healing in accordance with the teachings of a bona-fide religious sect, denomination or organization, provided that the student presents documentary evidence of an affiliation of such bona-fide religious sect, denomination or organization, shall be exempt from paying such a fee. Additionally, students attending Cypress College exclusively under an approved apprenticeship training program are exempt from paying the health fee. The health fee will be refunded to any student who withdraws from all courses prior to the 10% date of the length of the course. All Special Admit students are required to pay the health fee each term they attend.

Non-residents of the State of California are charged tuition at $342 per unit (starting fall 2023), which includes the $20 Capital Outlay fee per Education Code Section 76141. Non-resident tuition is in addition to the enrollment fee required to be paid by all students. If you believe you should be reclassified as a resident student, it is your responsibility to request a change in your classification in the Admissions and Records Office prior to registration.

All fees assessed to student accounts are due immediately and may be paid by credit card online via myGateway, by mail via check or money order, or in person at the Admissions and Records office. A $25 service fee will be added to student accounts for returned checks. The original amount owed plus the service fee must be paid by money order.

Use of Cypress College’s general parking lots requires a parking permit for all staff, faculty and students. This year parking is free of charge, but you must register your vehicle and display a valid parking permit. Physical parking permits are required on all staff, faculty and student vehicles. Guests of the campus may purchase virtual parking permits through the Pay By Phone system or at any kiosk on campus. Purchasing a parking permit will require guests to register their vehicle license plate number to activate the virtual parking permit. They will not receive a physical permit. Those who purchase semester-length permits may change vehicle license plate numbers online at any time using the parking link in myGateway. Day-use vehicle registration is available at kiosks on campus or through the Pay By Phone system. Physical parking passes are not issued to guests. Payment for semester permits and registration of plates authorizes students to use any of the seven lots open to student and guest parking, as well as designated spots on Circle Drive. Cypress College semester-length parking permits are also honored at Fullerton College and the Anaheim Campus. Cypress College students parking at Fullerton College cannot park in the structure located at Lemon Street and Chapman Avenue.

Enrollment fees, non-resident tuition fees, health fees and material fees are fully refundable if withdrawal from classes is processed on or before the end of the second week of classes. (See current semester schedule for exact dates.) Refunds must be requested during the semester of attendance. After the second week, there will be no refunds for withdrawal. The same fees for Short Term classes are refundable if the student withdraws from class by the 10% date of the length of the course.

There is a $25 service charge on all checks returned by the student's bank, and their enrollment at the College, as well as their credit, may be affected.

Cypress College participates in the COTOP program (Chancellor’s Office Tax Offset Program) and charge students an administrative fee if their account is referred for collection. To avoid being charged the administrative fee, students must pay all debts owed to the college in a timely manner. This includes registration fees, returned check fees, and any other fees due.
