President's Message

Greetings Students,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2019-20 academic year. Fullerton College is a welcoming, inclusive institution that offers our students exceptional opportunities to learn, grow and achieve their goals. It is my hope that your experience here is a formative and fulfilling time for you.

Fullerton College is well respected for its robust academic programs and strong transfer rates. We were named No. 1 in transfers to the California State University system for the 2016-17 academic year and we continue to grow the number of students graduating with Associate Degrees for Transfer. What sets us apart importantly extends to our career education programs.  We remain the college with the largest enrollment of students in career technical education programs in Orange County.

Beginning this Fall, Fullerton College will offer all first-time college students one year of free tuition under the expansion of the North Orange Promise. This last-dollar scholarship program offered through the North Orange County Community College District opens up more opportunities for first-time students to get started on a path to obtaining a degree or certificate.

The Course Catalog is your guide to understanding all that we offer, and it will help you begin to chart your course. The college offers more than 120 associate degrees and over 100 career certificate programs. You can find details here on each of these programs and the steps you need to take to move through your studies efficiently and reach your academic and career goals.

While the catalog provides the essential information about classes and enrollment, it does not replace the impact that one-on-one guidance from a counselor can have on your success as a student. Before and after the semester begins, I encourage you to make an appointment with a counselor in order to develop a personalized Student Education Program Plan (SEPP).

This is an exciting time to be a student at Fullerton College. The college offers numerous opportunities for students to get involved in college life. We have many student clubs, a fantastic Study Abroad Program, opportunities to work on campus, a robust Athletics Program and many other great programs for you to learn, grow and become part of our community.

I wish you the best of luck in your studies, and I look forward to celebrating your success. Go Hornets!

Warm Regards,

Greg Schulz, Ed.D.
