COUN 140 C
First-time students who are taking more than two classes or who plan to earn the Associate Degree, obtain a certificate, or transfer to a four-year college must include COUN 140 C Educational Planning in their schedule. This 18-hour course is taught by a counselor and the class is usually comprised of students with similar majors and/or interests. It is designed to assist the first-time college student with adjustments to college and meeting the educational demands of the college. A large component of the curriculum deals with planning the student’s program for the following semesters, depending upon whether the ultimate goal is to complete an Associate degree, a vocational certificate, or whether it is to transfer to a four-year college.
