3-D Animation Skills Certificate — Level II

The 3D Animation Skills Certificate - Level II is a continuation of the Computer Graphics Certificate with emphasis in 3-D animation software. This certificate provides the skill set required for entry-level employment in the 3-D animation and modeling industry. The program requires a total of 15 units of which 9 units are in required courses. An additional 6 units must be chosen from the restricted electives listed below. Units earned from the Computer Graphics Certificate may not be used for the Level II certificate. Any advanced DART course may replace the introductory course DART 104 F if this course was completed as part of the Computer Graphics Certificate.

OUTCOME 1: Upon successful completion of courses leading to the 3D Animation Certificate- Level II, the student will be able to demonstrate basic use of computer graphics software and hardware, and be able to demonstrate basic competence in selected image-making techniques.

OUTCOME 2: Upon successful completion of courses leading to the 3D Animation Certificate- Level II, the student will be able to devise solutions to 3D design problems using digital media tools.

OUTCOME 3: Upon successful completion of courses leading to the 3D Animation Certificate- Level II, the student will be able to devise solutions to 3D modeling problems using digital media tools, and be able to demonstrate basic competence in the use of computer hardware and software for 3D modeling.
