Chemistry Associate in Science Degree


The Chemistry Associate in Science Degree is designed to prepare students for further study in the sciences, in particular chemistry. It may also support attempts to gain entry-level employment in government agencies or various areas of industry, including environmental, pharmaceutical, and material chemistry. The Chemistry Associate in Science Degree requires 20 units of required courses.

Outcome 1: Demonstrate knowledge of inorganic and organic chemistry and have the ability to articulate this chemical knowledge in verbal, written, and/or computational form.

Outcome 3: Demonstrate the use of proper procedures and regulations for safe handling and use of chemicals.
