The Industrial Drafting Associate in Science Degree provides the skills and knowledge for those who wish to pursue a career as a Mechanical Engineer or CAD operator/designer in fields related to engineering, tool design, and 3D Parametric Modeling in a manufacturing environment as well as other fields. Outcome 1: Communicate technical ideas of mechanical and Computer Aided Drafting software to model and create detailed drawings based on ASME Y 14.5 standards that fully represent a design and function.
Outcome 2: Demonstrate the ability to create blueprints and documentation including symbols and title block requirements based on ASME standards which reflect an understanding of how these features affect the manufacturing of a product.
