Conversational Programming Skills Certificate

The Conversational Programming Skills Certificate is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in the CNC programming field and/or manufacturing field. The courses in this program focus on conversational programming methods and technique. This certificate program is also designed to enhance the skills of individuals already in the CNC/machining and manufacturing field that have a desire to learn more about conversational controls in the manufacturing trade. The student is required to complete a total of 11 units. At least one half of the units toward this certificate must be completed at Fullerton College. A grade of C or better is required for each course taken.

Outcome 1: Demonstrate an understanding of computer numerical control conversational programs for turning and milling machines by preparing a conversational program to machine piece parts per drawing specifications.

Outcome 2: Demonstrate the ability to evaluate machined parts per drawing specifications by selecting and utilizing the appropriate measuring tools.
