Pre-Nursing Associate in Science Degree

The Pre-Nursing Associate in Science Degree is designed to give students the necessary background needed to enter the field of nursing. This degree prepares students for further study toward an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. 18-19 units are required from the course list below.

OUTCOME 1: Upon successful completion of courses leading to the Pre-Nursing Associate in Sciences Degree, the student will be able to demonstrate an understanding of how the scientific method is used to explore anatomy, physiology, and microbiology.

OUTCOME 2: Upon successful completion of courses leading to the Pre-Nursing Associate in Sciences Degree, the student will be able to demonstrate safe and proficient use of laboratory equipment and techniques including microscopes, dissection, aseptic handling of microorganisms, basic biochemical testing protocols, etc.

OUTCOME 3: Upon successful completion of courses leading to the Pre-Nursing Associate in Sciences Degree, the student will be able to distinguish between normal and pathological phenomena.
