North Orange Continuing Education (NOCE) is committed to supporting students along their educational and career journeys. To affirm our dedication to student success, NOCE offers many scholarship opportunities in order to meet the diverse needs of our students and give them the necessary support to achieve their goals. The NOCE scholarship program celebrates all students and their efforts to reach their individual academic goals. Our scholarship program is designed to meet specific student needs and honor student achievement and leadership.
The NOCE Scholarship Program is designed to meet student needs and honor student achievement and leadership. NOCE celebrates students as they overcome obstacles while preparing for their future. The NOCE scholarship program is a unified effort by instructors, leaders at the Admissions and Records Offices, counselors and administration to encourage and provide assistance throughout the application, review and remittance process. These scholarships vary in their fields, the requirements, and the award amount. NOCE Scholarship Program Honors Excellence
Each NOCE scholarship has different requirements. Read carefully through all available scholarships, including its criteria and requirements for applying. We encourage all students to apply for scholarships that reflect their needs, personal skills, and/or accomplishments.
NOCE scholarships include opportunities for students to apply for funding for:
- Textbooks
- Various student fees (for uniforms, software fees, and more)
- Partial tuition fees for college
To qualify for a NOCE Scholarship, students must:
- Meet requirements.
- Complete an application online.
Students must observe the following scholarship rules:
- The scholarship board will not review incomplete applications.
- All scholarships should be completed online.
- Students can apply for multiple scholarships online. However, all scholarship applications must include a separate specific essay for each scholarship. One essay for all scholarships will not be accepted. Each essay must reflect the specific prompts designed for the scholarship selected.
Types of Scholarships
As an NOCE student, you can review the various types of scholarships and determine which criteria fit you best! Apply for any scholarship(s) for which you desire and/or are eligible.
Scholarships have unique requirements and deadlines, and eligibility requirements vary for each scholarship. Many students qualify for several scholarships. Apply as soon as possible, before the scholarship application deadline(s). However, it’s possible that some students may not qualify for every scholarship listed. CTE Textbook Loan
The CTE Textbook Loan Program provides books for current CTE students to borrow to complete their Career Technical Education Certificate program. Students must be enrolled, and available textbooks are provided on a first-come, first-served basis once approved.
What are the requirements?
You must be enrolled in a NOCE CTE course and may only request books for classes you are enrolled in. Available books are loaned out and provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students must agree to the Student Book Lending terms and conditions outlined below:
- No writing in and/or highlighting in the book(s).
- No removal of any pages from the book(s).
- You must agree to return the book(s) within the first week of my course end date.
- If you lose, damage, and/or do not return the book(s) within one week of your course end date, you will not be eligible to check out any additional textbooks until all book(s) are returned or replaced.
- You must understand that all textbooks are for your use only and may not be loaned or given to another individual.
- You will be held responsible for any loss and/or damage to the book(s).
- Once your application is approved, you must pick up the book(s) in person. Books will not be mailed to you.
- You must show a photo ID and your NOCE Student ID to pick up a textbook(s).

How long can I keep the book(s)?
You may keep the book for the duration of your course, and you must return the book within one week of the course’s end date. - Who do I contact if I have any questions, comments, or concerns?

Book Award
This program was created for students enrolled in any of our NOCE noncredit programs that require books. This award is provided as a credit at the Fullerton College Bookstore for assistance in purchasing required books, access codes, and any other instructional material for the current semester as deemed necessary for the course by the instructor and available at the bookstore.
Criteria used to determine award amounts include the number of courses in which the student is enrolled, the cost of the required textbooks and materials listed by the bookstore, and book funds available. Students who need financial assistance with purchasing their books and meet the eligibility criteria listed below may apply.

- Completed Student Educational Plan (SEP)

- Written response in the application: Your educational and career goals
*Please note: Due to the anticipated number of requests, not all students who apply will receive a book award. This award is non-transferable, and we are unable to accommodate any reimbursement requests.

- How will I know if I receive the book voucher?
- You will receive a notification with instructions/guidance on what action items will be needed from you to be eligible if this is the case.
- If the system indicates you are not eligible, it will not be considered a successful completion.
- Once you have met all criteria and the system has verified you are eligible, you will be allowed to complete the application towards successful completion.
- An email response will be sent to you indicating you have successfully applied for the NOCE Book Award.
- While we will try to provide book awards to as many students as possible, please note that due to the anticipated number of requests, not all students who apply may receive a book award.
- When can I expect to purchase my books, after I have been screened as an eligible applicant?
Students will be emailed award notifications and instructions on purchasing their books. We will strive to notify you of your award within 5-7 business days. - When can I visit the Fullerton College bookstore to purchase my books?
The Fullerton College Bookstore is open for in-store purchases. For updated hours at the Fullerton College Bookstore, call (714) 992-7008 or visit the Fullerton College Bookstore Website.
Workshops
Students are invited to participate in scholarship workshops.
The workshops provide students with all of the details related to the scholarship program and the application:

Students, take note of when your scholarship of interest is due. No scholarships will be accepted after the listed due date.
