NextUp/Guardian Scholars Program

The NextUp/Guardian Scholars Program at Cypress College is dedicated to supporting current and former foster youth as they pursue their educational goals. We provide a caring community, personalized services, and resources designed to help students overcome challenges and succeed in college and beyond.

Our team understands the unique experiences of foster youth and is committed to helping you build a strong foundation for academic and personal achievement.

Services include:

  • One-on-one academic and personal counseling

  • Textbook assistance

  • Financial aid and scholarship guidance

  • Food support (grocery cards)

  • Transportation assistance (gas cards)

  • School supplies

  • Workshops and peer support groups
