The Cybersecurity Certificate prepares students to recognize Cybersecurity threats and implement procedures to protect computers, networks, programs and data from unintended or unauthorized access, change or destruction. It will also enhance students’ chances to pursue a professional career in Cybersecurity by preparing them for industry-recognized certificates such as ITF+, A+, Security+, and CySA+. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all course work must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 17 units.

Program Student Learning Outcomes:
OUTCOME 1: Demonstrate competency applying Cybersecurity fundamentals and best practices in various computing platforms and infrastructure.
OUTCOME 2: Demonstrate competency in using various cybersecurity tools related to secure architecture, vulnerability management, intrusion detection and prevention, and incident response.
OUTCOME 3: Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgements as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the Cybersecurity discipline.
